A Proton VoIP DID is assigned to the customer and used for inbound and outbound calls. The team calls from the acquired number, and incoming calls reach the connected telephone system.
One number for player communication
For support, the DID is a number players can contact. For an outbound department, it is the team's calling number. This supports return calls and a consistent point of contact with the project.
A local number in the chosen country or region provides a presence without opening an office. The manager checks availability in a specific location. DIDs start at $10 per month; personalised terms depend on the project.
Connecting your number
Tell the manager the country, city when relevant, number count and telephone system. After ordering and connection, the number is assigned to you. Your PBX or Proton's cloud PBX handles inbound calls, while agents use the number for outbound calls.
Caller ID is the number transmitted with an outbound call. It is a call parameter: the team uses its assigned number when calling from the acquired DID.
For multiple numbers, define their roles by department or market. Statistics help track calls and costs, and Proton's bot helps check for a spam label.
